Goodluck Babatunde Ọlọ́runjedálọ Is an inspired drummer, young gifted performance Artists from a very humble ghetto upbringing in Bariga Lagos-Nigeria, rising against all odds with contact focus on developing his talent and this has created opportunities for him. His works are basically focused on societal developments, not neglecting his homeland and global political crisis.
He was trained in performance Art at the Footprints of David’s Art Academy under the guardianship of Mr Seun Awobajo the Founder and Artistic director. Babatunde honed his skills from an early age, creating and experimenting with several theater companies, including Crown troupe of Africa, Footprints of David art academy, Drumsview Concepts and Tantoloun Productions.
His annual Djembe Jam Session has added more importance to the art of music making, which is dedicated to train and equip young players and ultimately improve and sustain the art of drumming in the community.
He his known for his mastery and infusion of African percussive sounds into urban Afro pop music, which has earned him lots of recommendation within and outside the Creative Art industry.
He is also the curator of ‘Djembe on the street’ a monthly gathering of Djembe players and creatives from all genres of arts. This is his newest innovation, an experimental parade of improvisational performances invoking reflections and participations of community members and traders, making this exercise interpret rhythms and sounds as a way of life.
Apart from his accomplishments as a percussive artist and African drums instructor, Babatunde is also an accomplished artist with the backbone support from the Olorunjedalo Concepts, where he serve as the Co-founder.
